Essential Oils are Our Heavenly Father’s Medicine Cabinet

“Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will  bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” (Ezekiel 47:12)

Plants are beautifully and naturally fragrant. From them, and due to the increase of knowledge and technology, we are able to extract natural aromatic compounds that are found in  seeds, bark, stems, roots and flowers.   The oil is typically obtained by distillation or steam pressing.  It is important to use only the highest possible quality of essential oils when you use them for therapeutic purposes. If you think you are buying Frankincense or Lavender to use to make yourself feel better, but you buy some cheap stuff that has turpentine or chemicals in it, just how well is that going to work? Quality matters when it comes to essential oils & your health!

Essential Oils & Health Ailments A to Z

A

ARBORVITAE   A tree oil that naturally prevents wood from rotting, so it can do a whole lot of the same in you. It repels bugs and can fight fungal issues, deal with skin issues and protect against the sun.

Athlete’s Foot   Caused by a fungus, so you need an ANTI-fungal, and there are several.

B   

BASIL     Often used for bronchitis, colds & flu, depression, earaches, insect bites, arthritic pain, circulation, cholesterol (works at the cellular level), calms the nervous system, for diabetics, put it on a cotton ball for an earache, gout, muscle spasms and more. 

BERGAMOT      A citrus fruit from Italy, bergamot is traditionally used for fevers and digestive tract problems, as well as for skin care, anxiety and depression (it is calming). 

BLACK PEPPER       A warming oil frequently applied topically for arthritis and other muscle & joint problems because it increases circulation. Internally Black Pepper can aid the digestive system, kidneys, and to boost the immune system.  It is also used in breaking smoking habits.

C

CASSIA      The tree that cassia comes from is very similar to the tree that cinnamon comes from. Cassia is used for digestive upsets such as diarrhea, stomach ache and constipation, as well as arthritic pain, and for colds & flu.

CEDARWOOD      This oil is relaxing and soothing and will help you sleep. It helps improve the appearance of skin imperfections to give you clear, healthy looking skin.

CILANTRO   A workhorse of an oil that will help cleanse and detox the organs of heavy metals. It is full of antioxidants, helps digestion and is soothing to the skin.

CINNAMON     A giant antioxidant oil used for boosting the immune system and dealing with colds & flu, helping circulation, helping to relieve aches and pains, long used for internal health benefits assisting constipation, cough, diarrhea, insect bites, blood sugar regulation, digestive issues.

CLARY SAGE     Long used for women to soothe monthly discomfort associated with menstrual cycles, helps to balance hormones, assist in uterine  and hot flashes.

Clean & Disinfect  

 CLOVE   Another oil with powerful antioxidant properties, clove is used for cardiovascular health and oral health – to help clean teeth and gums.

CORIANDER     Popular for a myriad of health benefits including hormonal and digestive support, improving appetite. Aids in a health insulin response, soothes joint and muscle pain, digestive discomfort, body odor, depression, low energy, improves appetite, regulates endocrine secretions, treats fungal infection.
