What is a Diffuser?
An DIFFUSER uses highly efficient technology to atomize essential oils and diffuse them into the environment. You could put a diffuser in your office, classroom and anywhere in your home. It’s especially effective to diffuse at night while sleeping. The essential oils are atomized into minute ion particles and active oxygen anions, which are more easily absorbed by the human body than oils diffused by conventional diffusers.
A Diffuser is NOT the same as a Humidifier !
It is not recommended to put Essential Oils into room humidifiers because the oils will pool up on the surface of the water inside the humidifier and begin to eat away at the plastic. After a little while, the plastic that the humidifier is made out of will crack and break. The water will spill out on the floor and you will have a big mess, especially if it is a wood floor, not carpeting. Go ahead and ask me how I know this.
Also, and this is important: The humidifier is going to use heat which can kill the potent properties of the oils.
So go ahead and spend the money to buy an actual diffuser. Remember, it is your health we are talking about, not another latte from the coffee shop. Your health is important!
What do Essential Oils do when they are Diffused into the Air??
*They can inhibit viruses, bacteria, mold and other pathogens in the air
*They can clean the air of odors
*They uplift the mood by affecting the limbic system of the brain
If you diffuse for one hour, the oils will suspend in the air for at least 5-6 hours.
Follow the directions that come with your diffuser. Most diffusers use a very small amount of water plus a few drops of essential oil. You will probably only use 4-6 drops of oil, so you can see how highly efficient they are.
